The Supreme Court is looked at to make important decisions. These decisions have had a huge impact on society and government. Likewise, in Roe V Wade, a single woman, along with other petitioners brought an action to challenge Texas' criminal abortion laws. These laws stated that attempting an abortion outside of medical advice of saving a mother's life was a crime.

The Constitution is a complex document with unique facets that prevent any branches of government from gaining the upper hand on the other. The relationship between the three branches of the government has been far from harmonious.
