This Valero Corner Store was opened by Valero Energy Corporation as a part of its program to transfer the company's Diamond Shamrock retail network to Valero, which had given the company a national brand front for the first time in its history. Valero Energy Corporation is a Fortune 500 company. It employs around 20,000 employees and annual revenue of the company is around $55 billion. Valero Energy Corporation also has a mid-stream logistics system that affirms its most of the refining and marketing operations.

The company possesses and operates on 14 refineries all the way through the United States, Canada and the Caribbean. All the refineries of the company have a mutual capability around 2.5 million barrels per day, which constitutes roughly 12 percent of the total U.S. refining capacity.
