In 2003, I deposited $10,000 into a Swiss bank account I have had since I worked in Geneva in the 1970s. ($10,000 is the limit that Americans can wire in one transaction to an overseas location)

At the time (2003) the dollar was strong....the ratio to the Euro was about .91.
