J.P. Morgan Chase utilizes several marketing strategies and tools in order to enhance its competitiveness vis-à-vis other financial institutions in the market. One of these strategies is co-branding with another financial institution. For example, this week (first week of May 2010), the global investment bank partnered with Charles Schwab, which is a financial services firm. The partnership allows J.P. Morgan Chase access to Charles Schwab clients and offer them "fixed income securities, including new-issue and secondary municipal bonds, corporate debt securities and non-convertible preferred securities" (Investment Weekly News, 2010, p. 40).
