Dear Student,
Thank you for using Brainmass. The solution below should get you started. In this particular task, you are being asked to reflect on current theories in inclusion to propose policy amendments. A 5-page paper need not be too complicated to cover the requirements. I suggest using this simple outline:
1. Workplace Diversity - 150 words
2. Theories in plane - 200 words
3. Best Practices, relevant ethical code - 200 words
4. Recommendations - 200 words
This outline should yield 750 words, if you follows the Ties New Roman font, size-12, double-space standard. You can, if you wish, extend the word count to make the discussion longer, adding cited materials and more examples. You can use the listed resources to further explore the topic. All the best with your studies.
Sincerely,
AE 105878/Xenia Jones

Workplace Inclusion & Best Practices
On Diversity
In a multicultural society, a multicultural workplace is a common arrangement. People have always come from different perspectives and even in a culturally-homogeneous community, individual differences define people, and this includes their personality, socialization, background, beliefs, practices and uniquely personal traits. But in a multicultural society, this 'difference' is much more pronounced, defined by ethnicity, religious background, politics, gender, race, practices, mores, shared history, language, financial and social standing, etc. According to the University of California in San Francisco (n.d.), "Diversity is otherness or those human qualities that are different from our own and outside the groups to which we belong, yet present in other individuals and groups." A diverse population is beyond just that composed of different races or ethnicities, its a collection of individuals and groups who have to come together and work together coming from social and cultural backgrounds and groups that are different from that of their colleagues. In schools, kids often find themselves informal members of cliques or peer groups due to their shared love for music, or activities and trends (i.e. sports clubs, fanclubs, advocacy groups, activity clubs, etc.). This essentially is the simplest illustration of diversity - a population made up of people who are unique from each other differentiating them, making them diverse in what they want, believe and do.
