In addition to His human acts, an integral part of Jesus' ministry was His miraculous deeds. In performing these miracles, Jesus became a vehicle of Divine power to heal, feed, to restore and to save. His most discussed miracles include: (1) Walking upon the water (Matt 14:22-32), (2) feeding the 5,000 (Mk 8:1-9), (3) raising Lazarus from the dead (John 11:1-46), and (4) The healing of the disabled at Bethsaida (Luke 13:15).

(b) Why did you select those miracles? (Give several reasons.

These miracles are chosen because they are effective in demonstrating expressions of God's saving grace. Further, they provide a sign of God's presence. For example, in performing the miracle of walking upon the water (Matt 14:22-32) Peter walks onto the water and becomes afraid and the boat sinks. This scriptural passage points to a lack of faith. In addition, this miracle emphasized the divinity of Jesus. Moreover, the miracle represents a signs of the kingdom of God to come.
