WHAT ARE PHENOMENOLOGICAL AND HUMANISTIC APPROACHES?
Phenomenological Approaches focus on how people view themselves, rather than relying on outside observation, for instance, a given individual's personal expression of their own world view. Humanistic Approaches present with an individual's potential for self-actualization and personal development. Both of these theories are used in conjunction with each other. Some of the theories based on the philosophy of P-H approach include: Carl Roger's Client-Centred Therapy or Person-Centred Theory & George Kelly's Personal Construct Theory. Experiences in therapy and personal self actualization intentions are at the centre of these theories.
