Solution Summary
Inverting op-amp with negative feedback is analysed to detemine the transfer function from given components
Solution Preview
We first convert the parallel feedback network to an equivalent feedback impedance, call it Z0 by combining R2 and C in parallel. Thus
1/Z0 = 1/R2 + jwC (1)
where w is the angular frequency of operation.
Hence, on rearrangement
1/Z0 = (1 + jwCR2)/R2 (2)
Z0 = R2/(1 +jwCR2) (3)
Multiplying top and bottom of (3) by the complex conjugate of the denominator of (3) we get
Z0 = R2*(1 - jwCR2)/(1 +jwCR2)*(1 - jwCR2) (4)
Z0 = R2*(1 - jwCR2)/{1 + (wCR2)^2} (5)
