    About Allen Learst

I spent most of my time teaching at five different universities in the United States. During that time, I taught upper and lower division writing courses and literature courses. My expertise focuses on rhetorical devices for a variety of compositional approaches, such as argument, explanation, classification, example, definition, and comparison and contrast. I love how language and words come together to persuade and convince. As a fiction writer, I published a collection of short stories in 2011, and since then a variety of fiction, nonfiction, and poetry in literary magazines. I look forward to helping students here at BrainMass.
