1. While per capita income is necessary in the reduction of poverty and to improve human welfare because of it's very nature, it is limited in scope on the micro level. When it directly related to poverty reduction, it has a few limitations. The poverty level, particularly in poverty stricken areas, increases at a pace along with the increase of per capita income, even though the two are inversely related. Rising per capita income cannot immediately stop poverty to a point of reduction as a sole measure, because it is insufficient to address all forms of poverty simultaneously solely because the per capita income has raised in the aggregate.
