Web is definitely going to play an important role in the future. It is going to have a major impact on the day to day life of most of the people. The digital divide, which is still existent, will in all probability vanish, or at least be marginal. According to a survey carried out, perhaps a new digital divide may appear," a new divide is coming that will bring with it a new set of ramifications: the divide between those who have broadband and those who use traditional telephone modem access" (Jeffrey Cole, 2004).
