Background of Apple and CEO;
Apple's motto is "think differently". This means innovation, and Apple continues to define the world of computer design. When Steve Jobs assumed the post of CEO in 1998, he re-volutionalized the entire Apple platform, rescinding previous attempts to license the operating system. Jobs identified four basic platforms based on the demographics of computer buyers, from the most basic 'i know nothing" people to the experts able to code their own software.
Under his command, Apple introduced the outstanding iMac,iBook, PowerBook, and G series computers, all designed to fit the needs of such diverse buyers. And in 2003, Apple continued to forge ahead in design as the introduction of iTunes, iMovie, iPhoto, and iPod inspired the replication by its rivals.

Apple ignited the personal computer revolution in the 1970's with the Apple II and reinvented the personal computer in the 1980s with the Macintosh.
