The staffing plan in Trinidad and Tobago will be to set up an organization structure that will help Riordan achieve its objectives of establishing a manufacturing unit and sales organization in Trinidad and Tobago. The objective of the staffing plan will be to select a leader for the Trinidad and Tobago operations, select four managers, two for the production facilities and two for sales/marketing facilities, there will be ten production persons, four administrative/support staff and eight sales persons recruited. The recruitment will take ten weeks time. The training for the staff will take an average of three months after all the persons in a division are recruited.

Leadership: The leader for the Trinidad and Tobago operations will be head-hunted, a person who has experience in marketing plastic molded products in Trinidad and Tobago. Otherwise a person who has industrial marketing experience in Trinidad and Tobago will be acceptable. A local recruit will be preferable, an Euro-Trinidadian will be preferred because he can deal easily with both home country staff and the US head office.
Management: The managers will be MBAs who have experience in Trinidad and Tobago. At least two of the managers will be from Trinidad and Tobago. Those candidates that have some experience in the plastic molding production/sales will be preferred. Initially Riordan will have at least one manager from the head office in the US. The recruitment strategy will be to use job sites and headhunters to search for candidates that meet the requirements of Riordan. Only those candidates that meet the requirements of Riordan will be short listed for interview.
