FMC Corporation is counted in world's famous companies. The company does its operations in various business areas. The main business areas of the company are machine and equipment manufacturing, chemicals production, metals, performance chemicals and defense system. The company mainly produces military equipments, specialized machinery and agricultural chemical. The two main subsidiaries of the company are in Green River and Aberdeen (FMC Corporation, 2008).

Issues

The major issue about the company in Aberdeen is that the team of FMC Aberdeen observed that the company operating procedures in Aberdeen were not usual. In FMC Aberdeen has only one customer while in comparison; Green river has more than 100 customers. The major issue is that there are various differences in the operations of both the subsidiaries. Another major issue was that the productivity of the Aberdeen was falling down. One more major issue was that the tax regulation, labor pools, wage rates and many other aspects were more favorable in Minnesota rather than Aberdeen.

Factors

For FMC Aberdeen various factors are important. One of the major factors was that, the company has various business areas. To manage those business areas was very critical for the company. Another important factor was lack of an effective communication system due to which the company faced problems with its employees. .Another major factor was that the employees of the company were in need of the training related to different operations of the company (FMC Corporation, 2008).

Problems

There are various problems in FMC Corporation. There are variations in the operations of the company in both the subsidiaries Aberdeen and Green River.
