o How did you feel about the role of learning and its importance to your personal growth and development?

I felt as though I needed to strive for more out of life. During specific stages in my life, I knew that in order to become a marketable entity in the world of competitiveness; that I would need to sharpen my mental acuity and further enhance my skills and professional knowledge. In today's continuously changing marketplace, no individual should allow their skill sets to become stagnate. I felt that learning is a lifelong process that should never be taken for granted. I find that the more information I allowed to penetrate my mind will only heighten my overall personal level of future success. An old cliché comes to mind as I respond to this assignment "the more you know the further you go" this is one of the truest statements of professional and personal development. I feel that it is my duty as a citizen to open my mind to endless possibilities associated with learning more. As the years progress, one thing is for certain, and that is, an individual can never learn or know too much information, there will always be innovative technologies, new strategies, and new opportunities presenting itself to me, so in order to maintain my position as an aggressive competitor I must make it a mission in life to take advantage of all the new information accessible to me.

o What was your level of professional competence in problem solving, written and oral communication skills, information retrieval and utilization, and collaboration?

Before I attended the university, my professional competence level was not where it needed to be for the reason that managerial decision making is based primarily on statistics and forecasting the foreseeable future, therefore I discovered that making key decisions is predicated upon my cognitive thinking capacity in which case there is always room for improvement, which is why it is imperative that I continue to internalize as much information as possible. As far as my written and oral communication skills, I was always an effective communicator, more so in terms of the written word for the reason that I am at an advantage to think about points I would like to discuss and I have the ability persuade individuals to see my point of view, as with any skill trait or attribute there is always room for improvement. Oral communication on the other hand, is a skill that I would like to see enhanced especially in the areas of public relations and with obtaining a business degree, public relations is all inclusive. The university has allowed me to research, analyze pertinent information in which case I am constantly learning about new scenarios that takes place in the wonderful world of business.
