Cathy's Crazy Socks, Inc (CCSI) wants to set up a new business selling hand-knitted specialty socks online. The socks come from village knitters around the world and a portion of CCSI's profits go to a world relief fund that helps third world villages and women in poverty build their own businesses and knitting is a highly prized skill for many of them. Currently, CCSI is a small boutique in a bedroom community of very large metropolitan area. The boutique is earning Cathy a modest income for herself and a couple of part-time associates. Now, Cathy wants to expand into e-commerce

The owner of CCSI, Cathy, herself, has hired you to define the performance requirements that she needs in order to hire dozens of international women to knit exclusively for her. She has examples from hundreds of women and she knows what criterion she wants to use in selecting their products, but she needs your help in defining how to coordinate work production, shipping, online marketing that highlights these women's talents, etc. Cathy is looking to you to define the performance requirements of their work. However, you need to take a systems-wide viewpoint of this situation and bring other issues to table as well.

According to Business Dictionary (http://www.businessdictionary.com/definition/action-plan.html) an action plan is "A sequence of steps that must be taken, or activities that must be performed well, for a strategy to succeed. An action plan has three major elements (1) Specific tasks: what will be done and by whom. (2) Time horizon: when will it be done. (3) Resource allocation: what specific funds are available for specific activities."

I am supplying the sequence of steps, but in addition, it would be important to consider the timetable and resource allocation. I am not sure if you want to add something about these two items or not to the description or just note the importance of sitting down with Cathy and her team to assign responsibilities and set time tables once resource allocation has been completed.

Here is an action plan for Cathy's Crazy Socks, Inc:
