1. Code of ethics as the basis for the system of inquiry (see one example at the end of this response below, which is not in the attached response) evaluating decision making problem solving and behavior in a business setting how, when and by whom it is used.
You would use the principles from the code of ethics to first decide (based on the principles) if there was an ethical problem or dilemma (conflict between two principles, for example). Also, come ethical codes have a problem solving strategy to following when trying to come to an ethical decision when there is a problem. It is used to decide what the right thing to do (e.g., best practice) given the situation and people involved. It is a step by step decision making model, suing the principles of the code to analyze the problem and to come to the best possible solution where the most good comes for the greater number of people (utilitarian ethics).
