International management is the supervision of business operations in multiple or various countries. International managers differ from domestic managers. While domestic managers only have to know the business regulations of their native country, international managers must know the business regulations, customs, laws, currency exchange, and so forth both domestically and internationally. Often times, international managers lead teams and work within senior management teams communicating in multiple countries. Most competent managers are always looking for ways to improve processes, systems, operations, services, and so on resulting in improved opportunities. At times, these opportunities lead to innovations in the areas of cost leadership and product differentiation resulting in a greater competitive advantage.
