Introduction
Civil court is a body of law which deals the case of the private citizens of a particular state or nation for their rights. In civil courts, the persons or entities sue others for any kind of money damages. The cases handled in the civil courts do not involve any criminal charges. The civil proceedings include the presentation of evidence, trial conduct and the process of appealing a decision. The types of cases solved in civil courts are domestic cases, contracts and personal injuries. The civil cases can be filed at three levels of lawsuits, small courts, district courts, and superior courts (Lake & Kennedy, 2001).
The criminal law and proceedings are distinguished from civil law. The criminal court is authorized to hear and take decisions on the cases, which involve crimes against criminal law.
