Experiment Set up:

60 nursing students (40 from the BSN program and 20 from the ASN program )

I recommend the following tests/analyses for your research questions.

1) have all of the students write the pre-lecture exam.

2) randomly divide the BSN and ASN students so that you have the BSN lecture group, BSN no lecture group, ASN lecture group and ASN no lecture group. I suppose that the best way to divide is randomly choose 20 (resp. 10) people from the BSN (resp. ASN) program and put them into the lecture group, and the rest will be in the no lectuer group.

3) before you start, you need to check if your groups are divided equally. Take the average pre-lecture test scores of the lecture groups and compare that with the scores of the no lecture group. You can use the one sample t test to see if the averages of the groups are the same. The purpose of this step is to see that you have not, by chance, included ...
