Need full and good explanation to my query.
I am wondering which stats test to use: I am doing a project which is about whether sex ratio affects the occurrence of courtship behavior in a fish. I am also looking to see if the time at which the observations for each sex ratio affects the occurrence:
Data:
Time sex ratio no.of courtship behaves
1 1 20
1 2 66
1 3 27
1 4 22
2 1 38
2 2 82
2 3 18
2 4 51
3 1 10
3 2 66
3 3 17
3 4 45
4 1 16
4 2 100
4 3 23
4 4 14
5 1 16
5 2 109
5 3 27
5 4 21
Where for time:
1= 10:30 to 11:30 am
2= 11:30 to 12:30 am
3=12:30 to 13:30 am
4=13:30 to 14:30 am
5= 14:30 to 15:30 am
For sex ratio (male:female)
1= 1:1
2= 2:2
3 = 7:3
4= 3:7
With this data I really want to find out the affect of time but obviously I have to take into account the sex ratio the fish are exposed to. I need to know what test I should use for this type of data.
