Hello Student,
I am not quite sure what the focus of your paper will be but I think that your choice of rational emotive theory to use is good primarily because it focuses on the irrationality of attitudes that develop overtime in people which becomes a kind of barrier in relation to knowing and understanding without bias for the purpose of achieving a healthy, coping state. Because you will be applying it to a particular form of study, I believe that this is challenging you to justify its relevance in a sociological application since this theory emerged from psychological studies. I have taken some conjectures and explored this below. I made it as concise as possible however and should get you started. As always, if you have any questions, just let me know via the feedback section. Good luck!

Sincerely,
