The beliefs of Christian scientists are a combination of writings taken from the Bible and the writings of the founder of Christian Science, Mary Baker Eddy. The primary writing of Mary Baker Eddy is Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures. In this text she claims that Jesus' teachings and miracles were a blueprint that we should copy in order to enjoy a healthy life. Christian scientists believe that creation is fundamentally spiritual as opposed to physical. They believe that good and truth are real but that evil and bad are illusory. They also believe that the healing power of Jesus is available to believers today just as it was 2,000 years ago.
