We must begin with Isaiah 42. The servant is Messiah, without a doubt. But it can also become anyone else who follows in the footsteps of Messiah in his service. So, what do we see in Isaiah 42?

First, we see a servant who is chosen of Elohim ("G-d"). He is, "My" servant, says Yahweh. Therefore, he belongs to no one else and is responsibility to no one else. He has no other head, no other master, no other lord. He is "under" no earthly authority. This has to do with the sovereignty of spiritual leadership. Yeshua said that his talmidim can't serve two masters. It's not possible. If we serve Yahweh, then we serve Yahweh. We have no civil head, and bow down to none. (Consider the sterling example of this type of faith expressed by Daniel's three friends in Daniel 2). This is the essence of Yeshua's words in Mark 10:40. Anyone claiming to serve Yahweh and his people must not allow himself to be controlled by government agencies. Every "licensed" minister has violated this precept already.
