What is cultural affect? Essentially, it is the impact culture has in shaping and developing personality. Culture are those set of beliefs, practices, traditions, mores, language and standards by which an individual, through learning, becomes expert. This expertise allows this individual to function in a society that practices this particular culture so that an individual becomes part of this society. Cultural skills allow for an individual to survive and thrive. Now, since culture shapes the way we view the world, what we see as right and wrong, what we deem as happiness and sadness, rewards and punishments - then naturally, culture impacts the development of personality - how an individual feels, behaves and sees the world is shapes by the bounds of culture, specifically his or her culture. While personality is unique, culture is shared and it is this culture that connects different personalities together so that they become part of a bigger whole - society.

2. Race & Social Groups

Race, we often think, is all about skin color. As a concept, sociologically speaking - race is constructed. Our ancestors wished to differentiate people of differing attributes, physical or otherwise, from each other. Thus, race was used to determine physical characteristics that defines certain groups of people. The 'White race for example point to people who are White or have White ancestry, from the US, Europe or the Northern nations and their territories.
