Based on your own insights, in light of the current advances in computer technology and its many applications in the field of counselling (particularly career development), do you think that computer competency should be made a requirement for counsellor certification?

I think that at a minimum, basic use of the computer should be a necessary skill that all counsellors should have. I do not think that they need to be able to perform complex tasks on the computer, but they should be able to navigate the computer, open programs, navigate the internet...
