In a box with vertical sides, two springs have one end fixed on opposite sides of the box. The free ends are distance S= .64 meters apart.

When the free ends are pulled together and joined, find the change in the length of each spring. Their force constants are:
Spring #1, has k1= 54 nt/m, and Spring #2, has k2= 36 nt/m.
