Use square root property to solve each equation..

3p^2 + 36 = 0

Solution:

We can write it as

3p^2 = - 36

Divide each side by 3, we will get

p^2 = -12

Taking square root on each side, we will get

(x + 10)^2 = 11

Taking square root on each side, we will get

Add proper constant to each binomial so that the resulting trinomial is a perfect square then factor the trinomial

x^2 - 8x + __________________

Add 16 to make it perfect square, the binomial changes to

x^2 - 8x + 16

= (x - 4)(x - 4)

x^2 - 2x - 2 = 0

We can write it as
x^2 - 2x = 2
