Positive ("good") Aspects of United States History

The Constitution is a positive aspect of US history (also has some negative aspects listed below), as it outlines the basic structure of the Government. It also limits the power of the government. It allows government to levy taxes. Without this where would our roads, military, and law enforcement be? Other positive aspects include: allows for the adding of Amendments, allows for popular sovereignty, structures government to that of a Federalism. This meaning the National has most power then some power is split between states, protects natural rights in "Bill of Rights," calls for Checks and Balances in the government (3 branches), and serves as a model to other countries ...
