Dear Student,
Your solution consists of two parts. Part 1 is a discussion of the ideas behind the concepts you raised. I decided to give you this so as to show how I arrived at the short and concise 250 word limited solution you were asking. It is not easy to arrive at that particular conclusion without discussing the basic tenets behind these historical concepts which will be confusing without the basic background to them, how they came to be and how they affected the one after. Part 2 is the short solution based on Part 1 which is what you have asked for in the end. I suggest that you visit the sites I used as references as well as try to find access to books I have used to expand the ideas I am giving you in this solution. Attached is the word version. Print this is as your guide. Thank you for using Brainmass.

Farmers, blacksmiths, potters, specialised labourers were on their own although each village had a loose confederation of similar-specialisation traders. When the idea of guilds were adapted from England, they thrived being that through them trade with members of the guild as well as level of specialisation rose & intensified empowering the members & the guild itself allowing for far more superior products where production is not limited by the capacity of one specialist. This brought about social change in villages & the way specialist-labours are done with guilds opening up shops in English cities that eventually ushered the Industrial revolution. In villages, while specialisation is maintained, specialists belonged to guilds where they get training and can vouch for their level of skills, hence the saying, "The is qualified." professionalism arose from this idea of being certified by peer according to a set number of qualities & skills for a particular profession ushering a social change in the way jobs, specialisation & careers were viewed.
