Chief Justice John G. Roberts

The US Supreme Court is made up of 9 justices who go through a tough nomination, appointment and confirmation process through the executive and legislative branches of government. The reason behind the tough process is that they become the highest legal arbiter of American disputes, they interpret the US Constitution and affect the legal environment of a nation and they all serve life tenures. Yes, they can be removed from their posts but this requires an impeachment process. Most of the US Supreme Court Justices since the time of Chief Justice Jay, the Supreme Court Justices served out their tenure until such time that they decide that they can no longer serve their office and the interests of the nation.

At present, I think the most influential justice is Chief Justice John Roberts. He is the 17th Chief Justice of the Supreme Court. He was nominated by Pres. George W. Bush and he took over from Former Supreme Court Chief ...
