Solution: In addition to white blood cells, T cells, and helper T cells, the immune system is also comprised of very specialized cells known as natural killer cells. What is interesting about these cells is the fact that these cells have the capability to recognize other bodily cells within the body that have been compromised, such as being infected with viruses, or have become tumorous. These natural killer cells help to protect the body by destroying those compromised cells, which helps to prevent the spread of viruses,bacteria, and tumor cells.
