Who Knew What Was Coming? It was a normal day just like any other would be; I hear the alarm and hit the snooze button. I wake up to the daily routine. My dad and I get into the car and turn on the radio and the next thing we hear is "America, there has been a terrorist attack and it appears two planes have crashed into the World Trade Center towers. I have no idea what is happening and have not a clue what terrorists are or what the World Trade Centers are. My dad runs inside to tell my mom and she is shocked. Once I get to school I find that not everyone knows what is going on. The day goes by with complete silence regarding the incident; therefore, I believe it is no big deal. The teachers were not allowed to talk about the incident. The day goes on with the world in terror, people dying, and hearts racing at a heavy pace. Once I arrive home and walk in the front door I turn and see my mom wanting to talk to me. She explains to me what happened that morning and explained what terrorists were. We turn on the television and I begin to watch the tragic occurrence that happened in New York City on this day. My heart beats heavily and I begin to get scared. I turn to my mom and ask why someone would do this to our country. She did her best to explain it all to me. To this day, I still do not fully understand.
