This is the topic, " Discuss the concept of Success"

The first two essays are to be written in two different rhetorical modes regarding the subject matter you selected. Remember to choose only one topic from below and explore it in two different ways by using two different modes.

For essay #1, use one of the following rhetorical modes: Narration, Description, Classification, or Defining.
For essay #2, use one of the following rhetorical modes: Process Analysis, Cause and Effect, Illustration, or Argument.
In the third essay, you will analyze your writing in the first two essays and explain how each met the requirements of the particular rhetorical mode that you selected.

For essay #3, use one of the following rhetorical modes: Illustration, Comparison, or Process Analysis.

Defining: shaping: any process serving to define the shape of something.

Success is
an event that accomplishes its intended purpose; "let's call heads a success and tails a failure"; "the election was a remarkable success for Republicans"
an attainment that is successful; "his success in the marathon was unexpected"; "his new play was a great success"
a state of prosperity or fame; "he is enjoying great success"; "he does not consider wealth synonymous with success"
achiever: a person with a record of successes; "his son would never be the achiever that his father was"; "only winners need apply"; "if you want to be a success you have to dress like a success"
Catch per unit of effort above a predetermined level is called success and below a certain level is failure.
Is SE a success or a failure? Some look to the enormous economic growth and productivity gains enabled by software and claim that software engineering is a huge success. Others point to the ongoing problems with crashing operating systems and computer viruses and claim that software engineering has failed. How can we reconcile these points of view?
Success breeds success. There is no motivator like "success," yet there is no greater killer of curiosity and effort than either "cheap success", success without effort, or the use of unattainable goals. Success increases when students can attribute their success to ability combined with effort. Instruction aimed at the students "zone of proximal development" is key in the proper use of success as a motivator.
Different perspectives have different meanings of success, the bank has a very specific meaning of success.
Accomplishment of wetland restoration, enhancement, creation, or preservation in accordance with bank objectives, design specifications, or success criteria.

However, from a global perspective success is :
The achievement of something desired, planned, or attempted: attributed their success in business to hard work.

The gaining of fame or prosperity: an artist spoiled by success.
The extent of such gain.
One that is successful: The plan was a success.
Obsolete. A result or an outcome.
The achievement of something desired, planned, or attempted
