A. Decide on a content area or unit of study.

D. Brainstorm triangulated evidence that you will collect for each learning target.

Incorporate a diagram such as triangles or flowcharts of an Assessment Plan.

Since this is a multi-step project I will give you my advice and pointers for each individual step.

A. Decide on a content area or unit of study.

This usually has something to do with your major and your state standards. For example, in my undergrad I was an English Education major. English was my content area. To find unit of studies I had to consult the state standards by going to the Department of Education website for Colorado. I also had to choose an ideal grade for this type of project, which instructors usually let me choose.

So, let's say my content area was English, I am looking at a unit of study on persuasive writing, for the 7th grade.

B. Identify the standards or learning targets that you will be assessing within that content area in language that can be understood by both students and parents. What are students to know and be able to do?(Consider curriculum standards, subject or discipline, expectations) Include what the learning targets will be measuring (knowledge, reasoning, performance skills, products, or dispositions)

This is a multi-layer step so let's break it apart piece by piece. You identify the standards by how I posted above, go to the state department of education website and copy and paste the standard being sure to include where you got all information from to avoid plagiarism.
