As you briefly determine at least three factors that affect the students' language acquisition, I choose case 1:

First, since Michael's first language is Korean, one factor that could maybe impede his acquisition could be culture and status. Some linguists claim that students in situations where, their own culture has a lower status than that of the dominant culture in which they are learning the language, American English, often make slower progress. Due to America's political and global status of prominence, this issue might exemplify a negative force for him.

Environmental and social factors strongly affect our chances of learning a second language, so in this regard, Michael has some suspected negative forces and challenges because there is a chance that his family members do not speak English, thus exposing him possibly to only Korean.

Emotional factors are also going to challenge him as his parents' divorce and his move to another culture and country will pose significant emotional, social, and cultural impediments ...
