Health effects that may result from exposure to UV radiation:

Exposure to UV radiation effects our skin, eye and immune system. Sunburn (erythema) is caused by excessive UV radiation exposure. It also induces degenerative changes in cells of the skin, fibrous tissue and blood vessels leading to premature skin aging, photodermatoses and actinic keratoses when exposed for a very long period of time . It also effects inflammatory reaction of the eye. Skin cancer and cataracts can also occur.
Major health problems linked to overexposure to UV radiation:

Skin cancer (melanoma and nonmelanoma)
Premature aging of the skin and other skin problems
Cataracts and other eye damage
Immune system suppression
