I think responsibilities lie with management with disasters occur with outsourcing. This is because it was their idea to go to another company to get the necessary services for their company, such as Information Technology (IT). Since this is outsourced the most, the executives need to take responsiblity when something detrimental happens. Responsibility starts with those who wanted to save money by having others do the work for them at a cheaper price; however, if the organization that is doing the labor is not getting paid properly or doing the work correctly, then it lies with both businesses to collaborate by striving to fix the problem at hand. Executives would have to get together to solve the problem, or the original company would have to look elsewhere to outsource what is needed in order to keep daily operations running smoothly.
I would elaborate that the President or CEO needs to re-consider his or her options by looking at the entire picture by getting both sides of the story before making any kind of decision. By doing this, they are able to prevent any kind of lawsuit that could arise due to looking at one side of it, rather than the whole. For example, if my husband came into a company to work for them, and issues arose because of price for the service he is giving, then he would have to reconsider how he is doing his work or look elsewhere where he is treated with much dignity and respesct.
