In my opinion it doesn't really supports his views because Levitt forecasted that global companies would be selling products and services in the same way everywhere on earth.
However when we look at McDonald's success we can see that the firm adapted its products to the local conditions and culture. For example in Japan they serve some menus with rice instead of potato chips. In India the company eliminated beef burgers from the menu and replaced them with lamb and veggie patties due to the local beliefs. The firm considers these customizations as the best approach even it has to change the entire menu in special circumstances. This is mainly because the local conditions left the company no other ...
