Your mail-in rebate will fall into one or more of these categories:

Standard:
Only one specified product is required to be purchased to qualify for the rebate.

Bundle:
More than one product must be purchased to qualify for the rebate. For example, certain items must be purchased together as a set such as a computer, monitor and printer in order to qualify for the rebate.

Upgrade:
Available only to customers who own a previous version of the product they intend to upgrade. For example, a new version or upgrade in software has a rebate and to qualify, you must also provide proof of purchase or ownership of the previous version.

What you receive for your rebate will fall into one or more of these categories:

Cheque:
A cheque in Canadian or U.S. currency may be issued, depending on the rebate.

Best Buy Gift Card:
A Best Buy gift card is sent which can be redeemed for purchases at any Best Buy store.

Premium or Free Product:
A free item is sent by mail (e.g. memory card with purchase of a digital camera).

Coupon:
A coupon for discounts on future purchases at participating stores (e.g. coupon for discounts on grocery items at a major grocery chain).
