This article describes the launch of the beta version of its network browser engine and shell in 1996. There had been a delay in the launch earlier because of the restructuring work in progress in Novell ((Leach, Norvin. 2009).
Novell launched the beta version of Ferret browser shell and Corsair engine on a developmental kit compact disk. The shipping of the beta version had been delayed because of reorganization in the Information Access and Management Group. There was still work to be done on Corsair and Ferret.
