Brown, DeHayes, Hoffer, Martin, and Perkins (2012) also state that "economic feasibility, operational feasibility, and technical feasibility" (p. 415) are included. By establishing these items cost/benefits can be measured, impact of the project and support and risks for the project can be identified. A project charter is a key deliverable in an initial IT project request, according to Brown, DeHayes, Hoffer, Martin, and Perkins (2012). A project charter states "states in some detail the project's specific objectives, its intended scope, any underlying assumptions and known constraints, and the estimated benefits based on the feasibility analysis step of the IT project" (Brown, DeHayes, Hoffer, Martin, and Perkins, 2012, p. 415). Typically a project charter has less detail than a project initiation request.
