The "Integrative Model of Organizational Trust" was developed in 1995 but it is definitely undergoing changes and improvements as the years go by. Human behaviour and other organizational situations change and so does this model which is constantly evolving and transforming to reflect the recent studies.
The issue on levels of analysis has been considered an important issue. There is a rising interest on the importance of multilevel and cross-level perspectives in the area of organizational research. Management has realized that it is essential to learn and understand trust both within and between organizations to lessen methodological problems and to enhance support from people in the organizations. There are three trustworthiness dimensions of which perceptions greatly affect the trust level of an individual as well as in organizations. These are ability, benevolence, and integrity. Ability and benevolence perceptions can determine a trustee's ability to be trusted more than benevolence. Time is needed for an individual to be trusted the same way that there is a need for time in order to give more considerable results to our studies of trust.
