Solution Summary

Our bodies have a network of lymph nodes and lymph vessels that collect foreign particles in the body tissues outside of the bloodstream. Lymph vessels resemble veins and arteries that carry blood to all parts of the body. However, the lymph vessels carry a clear liquid called lymph instead. Lymph contains oxygen and nutrients that when they flow out of the capillaries walls to bath the cells with nutrients. Lymph nodes work as filters for foreign substances. Lymph nodes have white blood cells that fight off bacteria or virus infections.
