Writing and Balancing Chemical Equations

I need the following chemical equations written and balanced: Potassium metal is heated with powdered phosphorus to produce potassium phosphide. Cobalt (III) hydrogen carbonate decomposes by heating to give solid cobalt (III) carbonate, water, and carbon dioxide gas. Aqueous solutions of tin (II) chloride and sodium sul ...continues

Acid

Explain clearly the difference between a strong acid and a weak acid. Give one example of each. What is meant by the ionic product for water, Kw ? Define pH and hence calculate the pH of a solution of a) 0.01 M hydrochloric acid b) 0.1 M sodium hydroxide c) 0.2 M sulphuric acid d) 0.1 M butanoic acid, given that Ka = 1.51 ...continues

Thermal Chemistry

I'm having a problem understanding everything about thermal chemistry. I can't solve the problems because I can't find a way to put the question in a way for me to understand and use it. Any help would be much appreciated.

Determining the products when given the reactants.

There are two beakers each with distilled water. One has trihydrogen borate + potassium hydroxide (H3BO3 + KOH) and the other has trihydrogen borate + sodium hydroxide (H3BO3 + NaOH). What are the products that are formed after the solutions are heated and placed in an ice water bath? Hint: There will be a precipitate.

Identifying different chemical solutions.

Is there a chemical test to see if a solution has nitric acid without using an indicator?

Identifying different solutions.

If I had 5 solutions that are not labeled (the solutions are ethanoic acid, calcium hydroxide, potassium bromide, sodium chloride and nitric acid) is there a way of identifying which one is which without using an indicator?
