I think that living on the frontier in the late 1800's was a challenge for both men and women, but also exciting. For woman it was a challenge during that time because they were responsible for taking care of their children and educating them as well. It was also a challenge for them because besides taking care of everything at home they also had to help their husband with the hard labor. I think that women were viewed equally because they supported their husband in everything especially with hard labor because they both needed to work hard in order to survive. Although life was probably tough it was also exciting because each day they lived would be a new adventure.
